The Only Moisturiser I Actually Repurchase: Moskina Ceramide Cream Review

I have tried a ridiculous number of moisturisers. Moskina is the one I keep coming back to. Fragrance-free, ceramide-rich, affordable, and works across seasons. If you take one skincare recommendation from this blog, let it be this one.

Heads up: This post includes product recommendations based on my own experience. There are no affiliate links here yet โ€” just honest reviews of things I actually use.

I am not a person who gets excited about moisturisers. Most of them are fine. A few are actively irritating. Many are overpriced for what they do. I have tried a genuinely stupid number of them โ€” Indian brands, Korean brands, French pharmacy brands, cult-favourite American brands โ€” trying to find one that works on my sensitive, PCOS-hormonal, sometimes-dry, sometimes-oily, very-reactive skin.

The one I keep coming back to, the one I actually swear by, the one I have repurchased so many times now that I have lost count, is Moskina Moisturizing Cream. Fragrance-free. Dermatologically tested. Boring packaging. Zero marketing budget. Absolutely the best ceramide cream on the Indian market.

Why ceramides matter

Ceramides are lipids that naturally live in your skin barrier. They are the mortar between your skin cells โ€” without enough of them, your skin gets dry, irritated, flaky, and more prone to every active ingredient misbehaving. Modern life (pollution, harsh cleansers, over-exfoliation, central heating, AC, aging) depletes ceramides. So replenishing them topically is one of the most effective, boring, unsexy things you can do for your skin.

If your skin barrier is damaged, adding vitamin C or retinol will not fix you. Fixing the barrier first with ceramides will.

What I love about Moskina specifically

  • Fragrance-free, genuinely. Not “low fragrance” or “subtle scent.” None. My sensitive skin thanks me.
  • Dermatologically tested. It is positioned as a clinical moisturiser, and it feels like one.
  • Thick in winter, versatile in summer. In winter, I slather it on straight from the tub for the kind of deep hydration Indian winter dryness demands. In hot-summer-AC nights, I add a few drops of water on my palm, mix it in, and it becomes a lighter, more lotion-like version of itself.
  • Layers beautifully. Goes on under sunscreen, under makeup, over serums. No pilling.
  • Non-comedogenic on me. I break out easily. This does not break me out.
  • The price. It is shockingly affordable for the quality. This is not a โ‚น3000 jar masquerading as medicine.

My actual winter routine with it

Indian winter skin is its own beast. Low humidity, cold air from heaters, hot showers, wind. By January my face usually feels like paper. With Moskina:

  • Wash face with a gentle, non-stripping cleanser
  • Pat skin until just-damp (not dry)
  • Niacinamide serum (5%, we have been over this)
  • A generous scoop of Moskina, patted in
  • Sunscreen in the morning; just Moskina at night

That is the whole routine. Five minutes. No face mask. No serums layered seven deep. Just the basics done consistently.

My summer hack: water it down

On AC-heavy summer nights when my skin needs hydration but not a heavy occlusive layer, I take about half my usual amount, add 2-3 drops of water or a hydrating toner to my palm, whip it together with my fingertip, and apply. It becomes a lighter lotion-textured version of itself. Same barrier benefits, less weight on the skin.

This is my own hack, not the brand’s recommendation. But it works for me, and it means I can use the same tub all year.

Who this is for

  • Sensitive skin that reacts to fragranced products
  • Damaged barrier skin recovering from over-exfoliation or too many actives
  • Eczema, rosacea, and other chronic dry skin conditions (though please also see a derm)
  • Anyone wanting a single-tub moisturiser for both winter and summer
  • People who are tired of spending money on 10-step Korean routines and want to simplify
  • Post-procedure skin (always check with your dermatologist first)

Who this is not for

  • People who love a fragranced “luxurious” product experience โ€” this will feel too clinical
  • Very oily skin in peak summer who find all creams too heavy โ€” try a gel moisturiser instead
  • Those looking for anti-aging claims or actives in their moisturiser โ€” this is a base, not a treatment

Where to get it

Here is the Moskina Moisturizing Cream on Amazon India. Buy the bigger tub, not the travel size. You will go through it faster than you think.

If you take away one product recommendation from this entire blog, let it be this one. Skincare does not have to be complicated. It does not have to be expensive. It does not have to come in a glass jar with a gold lid. It just has to work. And this one works.

Feel better, without becoming a project.

Note: If you have active skin conditions, unresolved barrier damage, or severe eczema, please consult a dermatologist for a treatment plan. This post shares my personal experience, not professional dermatology advice.
